STORY

It all started on May 16, 2019, when we met (yes, through a dating app!) and had a first date that turned into hours of laughter, amazing conversations, and the undeniable feeling that something special was beginning. Little did we know, the world was about to change dramatically.

 

When the pandemic hit, life as we knew it stopped, but our story truly took off. The stress and risks of being outside pushed us to spend as much time together as possible, avoiding unnecessary encounters with others. We started meeting for lunch during workdays, playing quick rounds of Overcooked, and planning cozy at-home dates. Those evenings often meant cooking (sometimes burning) meals, sharing wine, and dancing in the living room like it was our private dance floor. Netflix marathons, binging reality TV shows, and playing silly co-op video games at home became some of our favorite things to do. Every moment, filled with laughter and love, made us feel like we’d been together for years. The challenges of that time only made us stronger as a couple, proving that love can thrive even in the hardest of times.

From the start, our cultures—Persian and Colombian—created the perfect blend of shared values, especially our deep love for family and our passion for exploring the world. Despite spending much of our relationship in a pandemic, we still managed to make unforgettable memories in incredible places: Mexico, Colombia, France, Italy, Spain, Portugal and more.

 

Then came the big moment. On our fifth anniversary, May 16, 2024, Enrique proposed on a rooftop with the most breathtaking sunset, surrounded by Paris's iconic landmarks and the Eiffel Tower glowing in the distance. It felt like a scene straight out of a fairy tale. We celebrated this unforgettable moment by embarking on a month-long journey across Europe, cherishing every magical second together.

 

But what makes our story truly meaningful is all of you. Our family has been our rock, instilling in us the values of love, kindness, and resilience that brought us together. Our friends have been our companions in joy and exploration, supporting us through every chapter of this incredible journey. Each of you has shaped who we are and the life we’re building together in your own special way.

We can’t imagine reaching this milestone without you by our side. You are not just guests at our wedding; you are an integral part of our story, our happiness, and our future.
